Happy Monday!

I know we haven’t celebrated Mother’s Day yet, but I wanted to feature this Father’s Day card because the stamp set and designer series paper that I used are retiring on May 31st.

The greeting on the front is from the Guy Greeting stamp set which is currently in the Annual catalog.  The designer series paper aka DSP is from the Petal Passion paper pack, and it’s from the Occasions catalog.  This is the last month these two products are available while supplies last.

The greeting was stamped with Versamark and embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.  I used the real red watercolor marker for the car and the basic gray, basic black and daffodil delight watercolor pencils for the radiator, tires, rims, bumper, headlights and license plate.

What you really can’t see well in the photo is,  I went over the red portion of the car and bumper with a light coat of fine tip glue from the Fine Tip Glue Pen which makes it shine and stand out.  The fine tip glue gives any image a  really nice shiny look providing you don’t apply it too heavily, and it doesn’t bubble. You want the application to go on smooth.    You also, don’t want you’re image to be tacky when handling it so,  it’s important to let it dry completely.

The sentiment on the inside is from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set.   The sentiment and antique car were stamped with Tuxedo Memento Black Ink.
I’m not happy the Guy Greeting stamp set is retiring, because
it has a lot of nice images and greetings for masculine cards.  We all
know how hard it is to create masculine cards, so having the Guy Greeting stamp set makes it easy to create cards for that special person in your life. This is the perfect masculine stamp set to add to your inventory before its gone forever.
