With Father’s Day in just a few weeks, I wanted to make a clean and simple card that you can put together in a matter of minutes.  The stamp set I used for the greeting is from the Guy Greetings set and as of May 31st will no longer be available.  Also, I used the True Gentlemen Designer Series Paper (DSP) that has awesome patterns for masculine cards, and I’m sad to say that too will expire on May 31st.  The edges of the stitched oval and the rectangular piece are sponged with Night of Navy classic ink.
I used the Metallic Enamel Shapes (heart) and colored it with a Sharpie pen in deep blue.  I’m sorry you can’t see the true color of the heart in the photo because it’s absolutely stunning.

The sentiment on the inside is from the Better Together stamp set, and is carrying over into the new 2018-2019 Annual Catalog that will launch this coming Friday on June 1st.  I also added a strip of DSP to mirror the front of the card.

Card Base – Night of Navy – 4 1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5 1/2″
1st Layer – Very Vanilla – 4′ x 5 1/4″
DSP Layer – 3 3/4″ x 5″
Very Vanilla Layer – 2 1/4″ x 3 7/8″
Strip of Night of Navy – 3/4″ 4 1/2″
Very Vanilla – 2 1/2 ” x 3 1/8″ to stamp sentiment and to cut out with Stitched Oval Framelit
Inside Layer – Very Vanilla – 4″ x 5 1/4″
DSP Layer – 1 1/8″ x 3 3/4″

I hope I’ve inspired you to start thinking about making your Father’s Day cards.  This card would also make a very nice masculine birthday card just by changing the greeting.
