I hope everyone had a nice weekend. The weather has been very hot and humid here in Massachusetts but I’m not complaining because we don’t have to shovel it.
Well today it’s all about the new limited products called Blended Seasons Stamp Set, Stitched Seasons Framelits Dies. and the new Watercolor Pencils. The stamp set and framelits can be purchased separately but you save 10% when you purchase them as a bundle. The Watercolor Pencils are not part of the bundle. They are only sold as an individual item.
For the card, I used Blackberry Bliss Cardstock for the base and layer. I used the largest frame die and cut out the Blackberry Berry layer, but I saved the piece that was cut out and I’ll show you what I did with it later in this post.
I stamped the flowers in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink onto the Whisper White layer and colored the flowers and leaves with both sets of Watercolor Pencils, blended the color with the Blender Pens and added Wink of Stella on everything to give it a little sparkle.
I took a 1″ strip pf vellum and with StazOn Black Ink stamped the greeting, let it dry really well cut my little flag tip on the right side and adhered it to the inside of the frame with Snail but only on the left side. The right side can be lifted so you can see the flowers.
I attached the white layer to the blackberry bliss frame with Snail and then attached the layers to the card base. I also added one Petal Pink Rhinestone from the Petal Pink Rhinestone Gems.
The sentiment in the inside is from the Detailed With Love Stamp Set and was stamped with Tuxedo Memento Black Ink as were the leaves. The leaves are from the Blended Seasons Stamp Set and they were colored with the watercolor pencils.
This is what I did with the piece I cut out with the framelit. I used it to make a Christmas Tag or you can also make a Christmas Ornament. I stamped the holly/berries and the greeting in Versamark and heat embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder. I used the Watercolor Pencils to color the holly and berries. I added Gold thread behind the label and wrapped a piece of the mini gold sequins around the middle of the label, cut the two ends and attached it to the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I also used the 1/8″ circle punch to make the hole at the top and added white twine. The 1/8″ gold cord would have worked much better for this tag but I didn’t have enough to tie the tag so I improvised and used white twine.
This is a good way to use your cut out pieces from the framelits. Put them to good use.
This Blended Seasons Stamp Set, Stitched Seasons Framelit Dies and the new Watercolor Pencils are only available until August 31st or while supplies last. The colors in the new Watercolor Pencil set are: Balmy Blue, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry, Flirty Flamingo, Garden Green, Granny Apply Green, Gorgeous Grape and Night of Navy.
