Hello Stampers!
Today, my card is all about the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper.  Here’s a card I made for my team challenge.  Each month, my upline offers a challenge and for this month,we needed to create a card using the laser-cut specialty paper.  The Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper must be the focus of the card, and I think I did just  that.

Each month the challenge is different and it’s fun to participate as it makes you think outside the box and gets you out of your comfort zone.  It’s also nice to see what your teammates come with as well.  We have a talented group of gals on our team.

This is a voluntary challenge so everyone that participates,  gets a piece of this Laser-Cut paper or whatever the product is for the challenge that month, and it’s up to us to create a card.   The following is a picture of this delicate paper, so you can see the piece I used, (which is marked by the red arrow)  to create my card.  This paper can be found on page 189 in the Annual Catalog.
As you can see, I  got one of the six smaller pieces, so I cut it up and made two corners, and with the remainder, I added a piece at the top right corner and a piece at the bottom left corner.  I finished off the two corner pieces with a very small strip of basic black cardstock from some scraps.  I stamped the greeting from the  Love What You Do Stamp Set in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink, cut it out from the Stitched Shapes Framelits, sponged around the edges in Grapefruit Grove, popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals  and added 5 medium black Faceted Dots

The sentiment on the inside was stamped with Tuxedo Memento Black Ink and is from the Painted Harvest Stamp Set.  The little flowers were stamped in Grapefruit Grove Classic Ink and are from the Love What You Do stamp Set.
Grapefruit Grove – 5 1/2″x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
Basic Black Layer – 4″ x 5 1/2″
Very Vanilla Layer – 2 3/4′ x 5 1/4″
Grapefruit Grove Layer – 2 1/2″ x 5′
Basic Black Scrap – 1/16″ (cut 2 strips) place them on the edge of the laser-cut paper to cover the raw edges.

I was a little baffled when I got the sample of paper and it took me a while to come up wth a design, but I must say, I think I did a pretty good job.   I’m very pleased with the end result. What do you think?
