Hello Friends!

I’m back with another Butterfly Thank You Card.  The stamp set I used to create this card is “Petal Palette”.   The black layer is from the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper as is the second largest circle and the big butterfly in the center on the whisper white circle.  This designer series paper makes it very easy to design a card.  The pretty paper does all the work for you.

The best thing about the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper (DSP)  is that it’s FREE from the Sale-A-Bration brochure when you spend $50 in Stampin’ Up! products from the Annual Catalog, Occasions Catalog or the Clearance Rack.  The DSP is  just one of the items you can select for FREE from the Sale-A-Bration brochure, so you may want to check out the brochure.  How can you pass up a deal like that?!?!

The two solid circles and the black scallop circle were cut from the Layering Circle Framelits Dies**, and only popped up the black scalloped circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The other two circles and the butterfly were adhered flat with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I fussy cut the large butterfly from one of the sheets from the designer series paper that I adhered  to the white circle.  I’m not a fan of fussy cutting, and I know some of you are, and for that, I commend you.

However, I wanted to use that particular butterfly and I noticed it had pretty much straight lines other than the bottom wings, so I stepped out of my comfort zone and gave it a shot.  I must say it wasn’t so difficult to cut, so I didn’t mind it at all.  That’s not to say, I will fussy cut more often, because I try to avoid it as much as possible.  It’s just not my thing!

I also added 3 black Faceted Dots under the greeting on the Grapefruit Grove Layer.

** I number my Layering Circle Framelits with a Sharpie as I do with other similar framelits, and  start with #1 being the largest framelit and continue numbering down to the smallest size.  In this set, I numbered the scallop circle dies separate from the solid circle dies.  Each with the #1 being the largest die in that group.

I used a strip of the same Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper (DSP) on the inside layer and from another sheet of the designer paper,  I punched out a little butterfly with the Butterfly Duet Punch and adhered with it to the lower corner with a  Mini Glue Dot.

Measurements:

        – Inside Layer – 3/4″ x 4″
        – Circle – use #4 solid  framelit die
Whisper White Circle – use # 6 solid framelit die
Basic Black Scallop Circle – use #2 scallop framelit die
Grapefruit Grove Layer – 2″ x 5 1/4″
Whisper White Inside Layer – 4″ x 5 1/4″

This was a quick and easy card to make.  This card would also make a very pretty birthday card.  As I mentioned a couple times before, I just can’t get enough of these butterflies and the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper.   I’m loving this card just as much as the butterfly cards I posted earlier this week, and I hope you do too!
