How about some tea with a friend? That’s what this card is all about.
Today, I’m featuring another new stamp set called Tea Together from the new Occasions Catalog, Tea Time Framelits Dies that you can earn FREE from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure, Time for Tea Stamp Set from the Annual Catalog, the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies. and the lovely delicate Beautifully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper, both from the Occasions Catalog.
The cardstock I chose for this lovely card is Balmy Blue and Soft Sea Foam. The cup was stamped onto to whisper white cardstock with Balmy Blue Classic Ink and the flowers were stamped with Tuxedo Memento Black Ink and colored with Stamping Blends in the following colors: Soft Sea Foam, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green.
The rectangle stitched frame was cut with the Rectangle Stitched Framelit Dies, The rectangle stitched framelits include 13 dies so you have many sizes to choose from. I start with the very largest framelit as #1 and count down to the smallest. For this card, I used the #4 rectangle stitched framelit die and cut it from a 4″ x 5 1/4″ sheet of Soft Sea Foam. Save the rectangle piece that you cut and use it to make another card.
The detailed, laser-cut paper is unique. Its petal pink on one side and white on the other side. One design has 4 sheets of a 12″ x 12″ pattern and the other design has distinct elements to cut out and use for affects or card fronts, and there are 4 sheets of them as well. Very very pretty delicate paper that adds elegance to a card.
I used one of the distinct elements on this card, and used a little bit of multipurpose liquid glue around the inside edge of the rectangle frame to adhere it. I then adhered the Soft Sea Foam layer to the card base.
The cup was popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the flowers in the corners were adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I added a little bit of clear Wink of Stella on the flowers and the leaves to give it a some sparkle.
The sentiment is from the Time for Tea stamp set and stamped with Balmy Blue Classic Ink. The two flowers in the corner are from the Tea Together stamp set and were stamped with Tuxedo Memento Black Ink, colored with the Stamping Blends, cut out with the Tea Time Framelits Dies and adhered with multipurpose liquid glue.
