I love dogs and this card makes me happy, especially where my daughter has a Beagle and this card looks just like my Bailey.
This card was created by my teammate Janet Craver for a team challenge that we had last month. The challenge was to create a card from a new stamp set in the Occasions Catalog, so Janet choice to use the Happy Tails Stamp Set on page 33. This is a really cute set that also has a coordinating Dog Builder Punch that you can purchase separately or as a bundle (stamp set & punch) and save 10%.
Janet chose Balmy Blue Cardstock as the base, and the designer series paper is from the Subtles 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Pack. Love the paw prints on the side of the card and how could you not love that dog?!? Isn’t he the cutest? The dog builder punch not only cuts out the dog but also the small heart.
This is a two-step stamp set where you stamp the image of the dog, and have the option to stamp spots on it like a beagle as the one above, or multiple spots if your dog has many or just leave the dog without spots if the dog is a lab, golden retriever etc. The dog house and the heart is also a two-step stamp, so you have many choices with this set.
The dog was stamped with Early Expresso Classic Ink and the spots were stamped in Soft Suede. The collar was stamped with Pacific Point Classic Ink as was the sentiment that was also cut out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. Of course, we can’t leave out those cute little paw prints that were stamped with Balmy Blue Classic Ink. Cuteness at its best!!!
