Card, Fireman Card, Fire Brigade, Incredible Like You, Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies, Stampin' UP!

Hello Friends!

This past Friday, my son graduated from the Massachusetts Firefighters Academy and I’m sharing the card I made for him.  I used  a very old retired stamp set from 2004 called “Fire Brigade”.  I’m so glad I had this set for this special occasion.   My husband and I were there for the graduation and we are very proud of him.

I’m an emotional person and when the bagpipes started to play for the processional march into the hall, my eyes filled up and my hands were shaking but I still managed to take a video of the procession and pictures of my handsome son marching in with his class.   It was a very proud moment.

Here’s a picture of the Fire Brigade Stamp Set from 2004.  I used 3 out of the 4 stamps for this card and colored the fireman and the truck on the inside of the card with my Stampin’ Blends.  I did a watermark of the helmet with the Versamark Stamp Pad onto the Real Red  front layer.

I stamped the fireman onto Whisper White cardstock with Tuxedo Memento Black Ink and cut it out with one of the rectangle stitched framelits dies and used a larger rectangle stitched framelits Die for the Night of Navy Layer.  I used the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Dies on a piece of Silver Foil Sheets along with the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets to cut out the word “Congrats” and adhere it to the front of the card.

The sentiment on the inside is from a current stamp set called “Incredible Like You”  which was appropriate for a card like this as we are very proud of him.

Here is my son getting his certificate.

This was a very proud moment for my family.  I had a lot of fun making the card for my son.  I wish Stampin’ Up!  still had some of these stamp sets as I’m sure other people have members of their families that become first responders and would like to make them a special card.  For now, I’m so glad I had this set and I’ll be using again.

I thank all our first responders for putting their lives on the line each and everyday to protect all of us, and pray THEY ALL STAY SAFE!
