The Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper (DSP) makes beautiful  cards. The floral patterns in this DSP are beyond beautiful,  and with paper like this, it’s easy to create beautiful cards.  All  I did was add a layer of DSP to the petal pink layer that is sitting on top of the Early Expresso card base.   I chose to add a strip of Mossy Meadow cardstock, and with the leaf stamp from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set, I randomly stamped  it with Versamark to create a watermark effect.  The greeting that I chose is from the Butterfly Wishes stamp set, and I cut it out with the Stitched Nested Label Dies .  I used the mossy meadow thread from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack,  tied a double bow and attached it to the corner of the label with multipurpose liquid glue.

I chose to make the inside layer of the card a little bit smaller than what I usually do.  This is the first time I’ve done this and I like the way the smaller layer looks which shows more of the card base.  I won’t use this size layer all the time but every now and again,  I will.   The sentiment I chose is from the Perennial Birthday stamp set which I seem to use quite a bit, so I guess,  I like that a lot too!  The strip of DSP on the inside coordinates with the front of the card.

  • Early Expresso Base – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
  • Petal Ink Front Layer – 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Magnolia Lane DSP Layer – 3 3/4″ x 5″
  • Mossy Meadow Layer – 1 1/2′ X 5″
  • Petal Pink for the greeting – 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
  • Petal Pink Inside Layer – 3 3/4″ x 4 3/4″
  • Strip of DSP – 3/4″ x 4 3/4″
  • Mossy Meadow Thread – approximately 10″ folded in half to tie bow

I like this card, and I just can’t get enough of the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper.  I love every pattern (both sides) of this pack.  The Magnolia Lane Suite of Products in general is gorgeous, and I must say, it is my favorite from the new annual catalog.

If you haven’t gotten this suite of products yet, you may want to take a really close look at it, as I know you’ll fall in love with it too.  Click on the DSP product image below in the supply section, and enlarge it to get a closer look at the patterns, and if you like it online, you are going to love it in person.

Thank you for your continued support and business.  I truly appreciate it. 😉

Here is a new mini brochure to check out.   The brochure introduces new customers to stamping and card-making.  It’s purpose is to help those that aren’t familiar with stamping and card-making to experience how easy it is to create cards and other fun projects,
The brochure features the basics — kits, stamps, ink, paper and some other items that will help folks get started in creating beautiful handmade cards while having fun.    However, these kits are not just for new customers or beginners, but for avid stampers as well.   I recommend you check out the brochure, because there are a few new stamp sets in there that are not in the annual catalog that I think you’ll like.  AND, they can be ordered in my online store.
