These cute little injured sloths would make anyone feel better. I think when they were up in the tree, they fell off a branch, injured one leg and had to get it bandaged up. These little rascals must have been playing tag (not that they move that fast) and fell off the branch together. 😆
I used the Back On Your Feet stamp set to create these cute cards. The sloths were stamped with Soft Suede ink and colored with my stampin’ blends. I also added Wink of Stella on the eyes, nose and bandage, just to jazz them up a bit. I know it’s difficult to see the sparkle from the Wink of Stella but it’s definitely there. The Wild Rose Dies that coordinates with A Wild Rose stamp set has a pretty stitched label die in the set that I used to cut out the sloths. I also cut another label with crumb cake cardstock, cut it in half and attached it to the white stitched label to frame it out. The stitched label was popped up with stampin’ dimensionals.
Here’s s close-up of my little buddy. Isn’t he cute??? I think the patterned paper I chose with the leaves from the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper (DSP) was perfect for a sloth in a tree lying on a branch. The word OUCH is part of the Back On Your Feet stamp set and I decided to stamp it 3 times in Soft Suede onto the crumb cake ribbon from the Magnolia Lane Combo Ribbon Pack. I attached the ribbon to a strip of whisper white cardstock, and also added clear droplets from the Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets on the female card and the gold metallic pearls from the Metallic Pearls embellishments on the masculine card.
Just a strip of the same designer series paper on the inside to coordinate with the front of the card and to tie it all together. The sentiment was stamped with Soft Suede Ink. Hmmm, I just noticed the sentiment is a little crooked. Oh well, its a handmade card and sometimes these things happen. I make mistakes too, but I still think it looks good. Don’t you agree?
Think of how many kids get hurt playing everyday especially during the summer months. Wouldn’t this card put a smile on their face and help them forget about their own injury? Even an adult would get a kick out of this card. This is a cute set to have in your collection, so you might want to check this set out in my online store. I’m sure you’ll like it as much as I do.
