How pretty are these colors together?  I never would have thought of putting Calypso Coral and Petal Pink together but I had a piece of each color cardstock sitting on my desk, and they were slightly on top of each other which looked pretty good.  When you think about it, Petal Pink has a peachy tint to it so it’s a good match with the Calypso Coral.  AND, there’s calypso coral and petal pink in the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper (DSP), so this combination turned out to be a no brainer.

The greeting on this card is from the Magnolia Blooms stamp set and it was stamped with Calypso Coral ink onto the petal pink layer before I embossing it with the Subtles 3D embossing folder. The Subtles 3D embossing folder is currently not available but will soon to be released.  It is being redesigned to a thinner embossing folder than what it was in the 2018-2019 annual catalog.  It will be the same thickness as the other 3D embossing folders in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog, and because it is thinner, you will need to use the 3D Embossing Plate which is thicker than the regular acrylic plates.  The thinner 3D embossing folders need a shim to get a good impression so that’s why Stampin’ UP! created a 3D Embossing Plate.

I layered a piece of the Perennial Essence DSP onto a slightly larger piece of calypso coral cardstock and popped it up with dimensionals onto the petal pink Subtle embossed layer.  I stamped the flower twice onto a piece of petal pink vellum from the Perennial Essence Vellum  paper pack with versamark; sprinkled it with white embossing powder;  heat set it and then punched them  out with the Perennial Essence Flower Punch.  To give the flower depth, I used a mini dimensional in the center of the bottom set of petals before adding the top layer of petals.  Glue dots were used to adhere the flower to the card and I added one of the perennial essence flower centers to make the flower pop.

For the inside, I stamped  one of the flowers from the Floral Essence stamp set in calypso coral with a crushed curry center, and the sentiment is from the Painted Harvest stamp set and it too was stamped with calypso coral ink.
