Here is one of the other cards we made in class this past weekend. This card was made with the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set and coordinating Gleaming Ornament Punch Pack along with the beautiful Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper. However, this card is not my own creation. I can’t remember where I saw it, but I do remember the creator. It was designed by Lee Ann Greff… so kudos to Lee Ann for designing a beautiful fun fold card. . Because it was so beautiful, I had to CASE it for my class and everyone loved it as much as I did.
With the combination of the Christmas Gleaming Bundle, Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper and Copper Foil Sheets, you can always make beautiful cards You just can’t go wrong with that combo. The ornaments from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set were stamped with Pretty Peacock and Night of Navy ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and punched out with the Gleaming Ornament Punch Pack. To add dimension, I popped them up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment on the front of the card was stamped with the Delicata Celestial Copper Ink which you can buy at Amazon as Stampin’ Up! is out of stock and will no longer be carrying it. However, in place of the Delicata ink, you can emboss the sentiment with Copper Embossing Powder which will also look stunning on this card.
Should you decide to use copper embossing powder in place of the Delicata Copper Ink, you will need to rub your embossing buddy over the Very Vanilla cardstock to prevent any flecks of embossing powder in other areas of the card, You will then stamp the sentiment with Versamark Ink, sprinkle the copper embossing powder over the stamped sentiment, shake off the excess powder and heat set it with your heat tool until the powder melts.
The copper foil sprigs were punched out with the Sprig Punch.
The inside of the card was stamped with Night of Navy ink.
Measurements:
- Night of Navy – 4 1/4″ x 7 1/2″ scored at 5 1/2″ plus the bottom piece at 2″ x 4″
- Very Vanilla for Top Layer – 2 3/34′ X 3 1/2″…Inside Layer – 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Pretty Peacock Layer – 3″ x 3 3/4′
- Designer Paper Layers – 1 3/4″ x 4″
- Very Vanilla to stamp the ornaments – 3″ x 4 1/4″
- Copper Foil Scrap – 2 3/4″ x 2 7/8″
Don’t you just love this card? It’s a fun fold card that looks difficult to make but it’s actually very easy. The main image bridges the upper and lower parts of the card. To do that, I placed the bottom image on the base and adhered it with repositionable tape or you can use repostionable adhesive and with multipurpose liquid glue, I adhered the detailed layer with the ornaments to the top and bottom pieces of the card. When that is in place, remove the repositionable tape/adhesive and now you have a unique fun fold card. I would love to hear from you so please leave a comment below in the comment section to let me know your thoughts on this card. I hope you like it as much I do.
You can purchase the products used to create todays project by clicking the product images below ↓ . I have also included the products to emboss the sentiment should you decide to emboss the sentiment in place of the Delicata Copper Ink. This was a beautiful cased card that Margo had us all do at her last card class. It looked complicated, but, as always, she gave us detailed step-by-step instructions and voila! we all had a beautiful Christmas card! The class was so much fun. The ladies are a hoot and Margo feeds us her homemade pumpkin bread and coffee. What’s not to love?!
Susan, I’m so glad you enjoyed the class and making this beautiful card. We certainly have fun but we still manage to get a lot done. Your comment is very much appreciated. Thank you!
What a surprising card! I like the unexpected fun fold! Lots of variations on this for other cards! Thank you!
I’m glad you like it Stefanie. A unique fun fold for any card. Thank you for your comment.
